SRI2020 Registration: Terms & Conditions


By clicking on REGISTER NOW and purchasing a ticket for the 2020 SRI Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida from November 9-11, 2020 (the “Conference”),  you (“Ticket Purchaser”) creates a legally binding contract with SRI related to the purchase of each Conference ticket and agrees to all of the following terms and conditions relating to the purchase of each ticket.


Cancellation by Ticket Purchaser: Ticket Purchaser may cancel any ticket purchased for the Conference for any or no reason prior to October 4, 2020 by notifying SRI in writing prior to 5 PM Eastern Time at In the event of cancellation of any ticket purchased by Ticket Purchaser in accordance with the immediately preceding sentence, SRI will refund to Ticket Purchaser the cost of such ticket purchased by December 4, 2020. Ticket Purchaser may not assign or transfer any ticket purchased for the Conference to any other person or entity. AFTER 5PM EASTERN TIME ON OCTOBER 4, 2020, NO CANCELLATIONS OF TICKETS PURCHASED ARE PERMITTED AND TICKET PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY.


Cancellation by SRI: SRI may cancel the Conference for any or no reason at any time by providing you notice (which may be by email or other means including, without limitation, by posting a notice of cancellation of the Conference on In the event of cancellation, SRI will refund to Ticket Purchaser the cost of each ticket purchased by December 4, 2020. SRI SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OF ANY KIND FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR OTHER DAMAGES TICKET PURCHASER MAY INCUR AS A RESULT OF CANCELLATION OF THE CONFERENCE BY SRI FOR ANY REASON INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY TRAVEL, LODGING OR OTHER COSTS INCURRED BY TICKET PURCHASER.

We reserve the right to change the format or content (including timing of specific presentations) of the Conference. If we make such changes, each ticket for the Conference will be valid for the Conference as altered. Ticket Purchaser will not be entitled to a refund in the event of such changes.

Ticket Purchaser will be subject to any security and safety procedures and policies that are applicable to the Conference and to the venue at which the Conference is held. Ticket Purchaser must ensure that Ticket Purchaser has photographic ID with Ticket Purchaser during the Conference. If Ticket Purchaser is unable to provide identification which matches Ticket Purchaser’s ticket, SRI has the right to require Ticket Purchaser to leave the Conference immediately. SRI may refuse Ticket Purchaser admission to the Conference or require Ticket Purchaser to leave the Conference if at any time SRI has reason to believe that Ticket Purchaser has behaved in a disorderly manner or in a way that has an adverse effect on public safety or that causes a public nuisance. Ticket Purchaser may not organize, facilitate or participate in any commercial, promotional or trading activities at the Conference without the prior written permission of SRI.  

Ticket Purchaser agrees to being photographed, referenced and recorded for television, webcast, social media and in any other medium, including by any cameras and recordings operated by or on behalf of SRI, and agrees to waive any rights arising under the laws of any jurisdiction in this regard. Ticket Purchaser grants to SRI an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to make such use of Ticket Purchaser’s name, voice, biography and likeness in any media and any recording or photography of the Conference as SRI reasonably requires in connection with the exploitation, advertising and promotion of the Conference.

All rights in all presentations, documentation and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the Conference (including but not limited to any recording of the Conference) (“Content”) is owned by SRI or is included with the permission of the owner of the rights. No (i) photography or recording; or (ii) republication, broadcast or other dissemination of the Content is permitted without prior written approval of SRI. Ticket Purchaser must not distribute, reproduce, modify, store, transfer or in any other way use any of the Content.  Ticket Purchaser acknowledges that the Content does not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of SRI. THE CONTENT IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND (EXPRESS OR IMPLIED). WE HEREBY EXCLUDE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW ALL LIABILITIES, COSTS, CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES AND/OR EXPENSES ARISING FROM ANY INACCURACY OR OMISSION IN THE CONTENT OR ARISING FROM ANY INFRINGING, DEFAMATORY OR OTHERWISE UNLAWFUL MATERIAL IN THE CONTENT. To the extent that any Content is made available online, SRI reserves the right to suspend or remove access to such Content at any time for any reason.

Ticket Purchaser acknowledges that it has not relied on, and will have no remedy in respect of, any statement, representation, warranty, understanding, promise or assurance of any person other than as expressly set out herein. The terms and conditions set forth herein contain the entire agreement and understanding relating to the Conference and supersede all prior agreements, understandings or arrangements (both written and oral) relating to the Conference.

Ticket Purchaser represents and warrants that the person agreeing to these terms and conditions has the authority to bind Ticket Purchaser to the terms hereof. Ticket Purchaser will require any employee, contractor or agent who attends the Conference to adhere to all relevant terms and conditions.

Ticket Purchaser agrees that communication may be electronic, and that any communications sent electronically comply with any legal or contractual requirement that such communication be made in writing. Any communication via email or web site posting is deemed effective as of the day such email is sent or web site posting occurs.

SRI may assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer the benefit of any of its rights hereunder without notice. Ticket Purchaser may not assign, sub-license, subcontract or otherwise transfer to any third party any of its rights or obligations hereunder. Ticket Purchaser may not confer third-party beneficiary rights upon any other person. Cancellation of any ticket purchased or the occurrence or non-occurrence of the Conference will not affect the continuance in force of any provision of these terms and conditions or the relevant constituent part thereof which is expressly or by implication intended to survive termination. If any provision herein is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that portion will be construed in a manner consistent with the applicable law to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intentions of the parties, and the remaining terms and conditions will remain valid and enforceable.


By purchasing a Conference ticket, Ticket Purchaser agrees that any dispute by Ticket Purchaser related to Conference tickets is governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia. State and federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia will be the exclusive venue for any and all disputes between the parties arising out of or in connection with the Purchase of Tickets and the Ticket Purchaser hereby submits to the personal jurisdiction of, and waive any objections to venue in, such courts. TICKET PURCHASER HEREBY WAIVES ITS RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN ANY DISPUTE, ACTION, OR PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PURCHASE OF TICKETS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  Notwithstanding the foregoing to the contrary, SRI may also seek legal recourse in any other forum or jurisdiction it selects.
